Are you planning to buy hosting from Hostinger, but want to read a review from someone who is actually using it? Hostinger is everywhere right now, and most reviews you find say only good things about it.
This review is different, because this website, alexwebhosting.com, runs on Hostinger’s Unlimited plan. I moved it here in 2026 after close to ten years on GoDaddy. So I will tell you what I paid, what it will renew at, how fast my sites are, what I liked about hPanel and its AI agent, and also the migration problems that took a lot of my time.
My Experience: Moving This Site to Hostinger
I left GoDaddy mainly because of the renewal price. In 2025 I paid GoDaddy ₹11,142 for one year of their Ultimate plan. In August 2026 I paid Hostinger ₹9,552 for 48 months of their Unlimited plan, which is ₹199 a month. So four years on Hostinger cost me less than one year on GoDaddy. You can see both bills side by side in my GoDaddy vs Hostinger comparison.

The migration was the hard part
Buying the plan was easy. Moving my site was not. My website is not big, it is less than 1 GB, but it still took me a lot of time and effort.
First I tried the two popular migration plugins, Duplicator and All-in-One WP Migration. Both failed, so I decided to move the site manually.
Then I tried to upload the files through the File Manager in hPanel. Hostinger kept blocking the upload requests, and the upload stopped before all the files were uploaded. Their AI agent could not tell me what the problem was. From my own experience I found out that these are restrictions on Hostinger’s side, which they use to stop one account from using too many resources. But my site was less than 1 GB, and still the upload did not complete.
After that I tried SSH with PuTTY, and there I got connection errors too. The AI agent struggled here as well. I tried three different programs and all of them failed. In the end the agent found a solution and the files finally moved to the new server.
Overall, it was a very hectic experience. Part of it was because I was using hPanel for the first time, and it is not as smooth as cPanel when you need to move files around.
Hostinger also offers to move your website for you. You fill a form with your website details and logins, and their team does the move. Hostinger says a simple WordPress migration is usually done in less than two hours, and that cPanel sites on other software can take more than 20 hours. I didn’t use it, because it didn’t feel right for my site and in my view it takes too much time. If you are not comfortable moving files yourself, try this service first, and keep your old hosting active until the new site is checked.
Hostinger Plans and Prices in 2026
Hostinger’s shared hosting plans are listed below. The low price needs a 48-month term, and you pay the full term at checkout.
| Plan | Websites | Storage | US price (48 mo) | US renewal | India price (48 mo) | India renewal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
HSingle | 1 | 10 GB SSD | Not on the US page | Not on the US page | ₹69/mo | ₹289/mo |
HPremium | 3 | 20 GB SSD | $2.99/mo | $10.99/mo | ₹149/mo | ₹449/mo |
HUnlimitedMy plan | Unlimited | 50 GB NVMe | $3.99/mo | $16.99/mo | ₹249/mo | ₹649/mo |
HCloud Startup | Unlimited | 100 GB NVMe | $7.99/mo | $25.99/mo | ₹599/mo | ₹1,599/mo |
From hostinger.com and Hostinger India, checked October 2026. Before tax (Indian prices are without GST).

For most people the choice is between Premium and Unlimited. Premium is enough for up to 3 small websites. I took Unlimited because it adds daily backups, CDN and more resources, and the difference at the start was small. If you are in India and need only one website, Single at ₹69 is the cheapest way in.
Hostinger Renewal Price: What I Will Pay Next
Hostinger gives you a big discount on the first term, and the renewal is done at the regular price. This is the part you should plan for before you buy.
My Unlimited plan: first 4 years vs next 4 years
My hPanel already shows the renewal for the next 48 months. It is about 3.3 times what I paid this time.
- For comparison, 8 years at my last GoDaddy price would be ₹89,136. So even with the renewal, Hostinger costs me less than half.
- The free email is free for the first year only, and the free domain too. Add their renewal to your math.

Amounts before GST, from my own Hostinger account.
Hostinger Features That Matter
This is where Hostinger is strong. Many things that are paid add-ons on other hosts are included in the plan, at least on Unlimited:
Unlimited makes a backup every day. Premium makes one every week. Their chat didn’t tell me how many days of backups are kept.
Included on every plan, with no SSL renewal bill like I had on GoDaddy.
10 countries in the US, Europe, Asia and South America. My sites are on the India data center.
Their sales chat told me Premium gets 2 GB RAM and Unlimited gets 3 GB RAM with 2 CPUs. CDN is included on Unlimited.
Hostinger lists malware scanning on every plan, which detects and removes harmful files, and domain privacy that keeps your details out of public records. On GoDaddy, security is part of the paid Web Security add-on.
Premium comes with 5 AI credits and Unlimited with 15, a one-time gift for creating a website or app with AI. If you don’t want to design the site yourself, you can describe it and let the AI build the first version.
Put together, these are things I used to pay extra for on GoDaddy, like SSL every year and the security add-on. On Hostinger they come with the plan. Only CDN and daily backups need the Unlimited plan.
One thing to keep in mind is that features marked unlimited fall under Hostinger’s fair usage policy. My file upload problem during migration showed me that Hostinger does put limits on how much an account can use at one time, even on the Unlimited plan.
Hostinger hPanel and the AI Agent
Hostinger doesn’t use cPanel. It uses its own control panel called hPanel, and when you open hPanel, the main thing you see is a chat box with their AI agent.
If you are using it for the first time, it will take you some time to learn where each option is. You can ask the agent and it tells you where to find the option. The good thing is that the agent also does many tasks for you. For example, if you want WordPress installed on your domain, you just tell the agent and it installs it.
For normal daily work, their AI assistant has solved almost every problem I had so far, and I haven’t needed to talk to a human yet. But when the problem was not normal, like my blocked uploads and SSH errors during migration, the agent struggled to find the cause, and it took many tries before it found a working solution.

So if you already know cPanel well, hPanel will feel slower at the start. If you are new to hosting and fine with typing what you want, the agent makes it easier than cPanel.
Hostinger Customer Support
Hostinger offers 24/7 live chat and email support. There is no phone support. Before buying, I asked their sales chat the same questions I ask every host.
| What I asked | Answer from Hostinger chat | Answered? |
|---|---|---|
| What will Premium and Unlimited cost at renewal?Real problem | Premium $10.99/mo, Unlimited $16.99/mo | Yes |
| How many emails can I create, and are they free? | Premium 2 mailboxes per website, Unlimited unlimited. Free for 1 year, then may renew separately | Yes |
| Is CDN free? | Not on Premium, included on Unlimited | Yes |
| Are backups free, and how many days are kept? | Weekly on Premium, daily on Unlimited. Days kept: not specified | Partly |
| Do you migrate a WordPress site for free? | Yes | Yes |
| What are the CPU and RAM limits? | Premium 1 CPU, 2 GB RAM. Unlimited 2 CPUs, 3 GB RAM | Yes |
Hostinger sales chat, October 2026. The answers came from their AI assistant, in one reply. When I asked, it said human support is also available 24/7 by chat and email.

Five of six questions got a full answer, which is much better than GoDaddy’s chat in my test (2 of 5, after asking twice). The missing answer, how many days of backups are kept, is an important one, so ask it again if backups matter to you.
Hostinger Speed Test
I measured TTFB (time to first byte) on two of my own sites on Hostinger, from 8 cities with the KeyCDN Performance Test. TTFB is how long the server takes to start sending the page.
| Site | Frankfurt | London | New York | San Francisco | Singapore | Bangalore | Sydney |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Site 1 | 513 ms | 540 ms | 686 ms | 824 ms | 524 ms | 77 ms | 1,240 ms |
| Site 2 | 451 ms | 486 ms | 861 ms | 857 ms | 546 ms | 580 ms | 909 ms |
KeyCDN Performance Test, one run per location, 11 October 2026. Amsterdam results are in the medians but not shown in the table.
Speed on shared hosting follows the server location. My sites are on the India server, so Site 1 answered in 77 ms from Bangalore, and both sites were around 450 to 550 ms from Europe and Singapore. From the US and Sydney they were slower, close to or above 0.8 seconds. With only one run per city, I can’t say for sure why Site 2 was slower from India in this test.
The good part is that Hostinger lets you choose the data center when you set up the plan. So if most of your visitors are in the US, pick a US data center and you should get much better numbers from there.

Hostinger Downtime and Status Page
Hostinger’s status page posts a separate entry for each server, including planned maintenance. Between 26 September and 10 October 2026 it listed 10 emergency maintenance entries on single servers (9 minutes to 1 hour 26 minutes), 5 slow server entries (15 minutes to 3 hours 7 minutes) and two partial connectivity problems at the Mumbai data center (40 minutes and 1 hour 13 minutes).
Each entry hits only the sites on that one server, so this does not mean every Hostinger site was down. But if your site is on the India data center like mine, note the two Mumbai problems in the same week. My full comparison of both status pages is in the GoDaddy vs Hostinger article.
Hostinger Pros and Cons
What I like
- Four years cost me less than one year on GoDaddy.
- Free SSL, malware scanning and domain privacy on every plan, daily backups and CDN on Unlimited.
- The AI agent installs WordPress and solves most daily problems.
- You choose the data center, from 10 countries.
- Sales chat answered 5 of 6 questions in one reply.
What I don’t
- My renewal is ₹31,152, about 3.3 times what I paid.
- Migration was hectic: two plugins failed and File Manager uploads were blocked.
- hPanel takes time to learn if you come from cPanel.
- No phone support, and the AI agent struggles with unusual problems.
- Free email and domain are free for the first year only.
How I scored Hostinger
Overall 7.5 / 10 is the average of these five. Price is marked on the renewal too: even after it, 8 years cost me less than half of what GoDaddy would. Speed is marked knowing you can pick the data center near your visitors. Price from my own invoice and renewal, speed from 2 live sites on the India server, October 2026. For comparison, GoDaddy scored 5.5 on the same method.

Low first price, free SSL and an AI agent that sets up WordPress for you.
Good fitMoving from an expensive host
The saving is real, but ask for their free migration first, and keep the old host until the move is checked.
OK fitcPanel users who want phone support
No cPanel on the normal plans and no phone line. Look at the alternatives below.
Look elsewhereHostinger Alternatives
For cPanel with a low renewal price. It starts at $2.50 a month and renews at $8 (or $7 on their DirectAdmin plan), and InterServer says the price doesn’t go up after that.
For cPanel and 24/7 phone support, if you are fine with a higher renewal and paid SSL on Economy.
Hostinger Review FAQ
Is Hostinger good for hosting?
For most small websites, yes. On my Unlimited plan I get daily backups, CDN and free SSL, and four years cost me less than one year on GoDaddy. The weak points are the renewal price, which is about three times the first price, and hPanel, which takes time to learn if you come from cPanel. I give it 7.5 out of 10, the highest score on this site so far.
What is Hostinger’s renewal price?
In the US, Premium renews at $10.99 a month and Unlimited at $16.99. In India, Unlimited renews at ₹649 a month. My own Unlimited plan shows a renewal of ₹31,152 for 48 months, against ₹9,552 that I paid for the first 48 months.
Does Hostinger migrate my website for free?
Yes. You fill a form with your website details and their team moves it, and Hostinger says a simple WordPress site is usually done in under two hours. I moved my site myself and had problems: two migration plugins failed and File Manager uploads were blocked, so I would try their service first.
Does Hostinger use cPanel?
Not on the normal shared plans. Hostinger uses its own hPanel, which opens with an AI agent that can guide you or do tasks like installing WordPress. If you want cPanel, InterServer and GoDaddy use it.
Does Hostinger have phone support?
No. Support is by 24/7 live chat and email, and the sales chat is answered first by an AI assistant. Human agents are available on chat and email.
Is Hostinger fast?
It depends on the data center you choose. My two sites on the India server answered in 77 and 580 ms from Bangalore, about 489 ms from Europe and 841 ms from the US. Pick the data center nearest to your visitors.
